About
A Place For Learning
Hi my name is Julie Partridge and welcome to Teaching Today. I created this blog in hopes of reaching all those with a passion for teaching and education as well as to connect with colleagues, parents, teachers, coaches and like minded individuals. It’s a place to share practical tips, philosophy, lesson plans, curriculum ideas, interesting news articles and new theories related to teaching. I hope to create an open forum with honest discussion where all opinions and ideas are welcome. Whether you are teacher, tutor, parent or coach, I believe everyone has something interesting and valuable to contribute ~ so please feel free to leave a comment or check out the links to the teaching job opportunities. Thanks for reading!
A Bit About Me
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, I have attended Simon Fraser University to earn my BA, BEd and B.C. Teaching Certificate. I also have a TESOL Diploma. I have spent several years teaching children with Learning Disabilities and Special Needs both in and out of the public school system and I’ve taught ESL students of all levels, here at home and internationally. Having traveled, lived and worked abroad, I’ve decided that rainy Vancouver is definitely home (for now). I work in Richmond as a Teacher-On-Call, and in Vancouver as a tutor and ESL Teacher. On any given Sunday I can be found practicing yoga, walking my dog or enjoying a cup of tea with friends.
